Engineered with a high-strength carbon core encased in a 7075 aerospace-grade aluminum jacket, the FMJ delivers incredible mass weight, slick target-pulling performance, and bone-crushing kinetic energy at impact. The ultra-smooth metal exterior drastically reduces friction through hide and muscle, focusing every ounce of bow momentum behind your broadhead for devastating pass-throughs.

The Kauffman Custom Studio Difference

Dual-material composite shafts require extreme precision during prep. We eliminate factory variance with a dedicated bench setup engineered specifically for aluminum-jacketed shafts:

  • Spine Testing & Alignment: Every shaft is statically checked on our precision spine tester to identify its principal stiff plane, ensuring uniform shaft-to-shaft flex upon release.

  • Dual-End Diamond Squaring: We trim and square both the point and nock ends using precision diamond wheels, creating a flawless 90-degree seating face for flush-fitting HIT inserts and nocks.

  • Custom Hand Fletching: Shafts are thoroughly degreased, fitted with heavy-duty Onestringer custom wraps, and hand-fletched using premium vanes (Q2i Rapt-X or AAE Max Stealth) with exact helical orientation for maximum broadhead control.

  • Grain & Weight Matching: Your entire set is weight-sorted to maintain tight tolerances and consistent point-of-impact across the pack.

  • Spine Options: 250 (12.0 gpi), 300 (12.0 gpi), 340 (11.3 gpi), 400 (10.2 gpi), 500 (9.1 gpi)

  4. Custom Fletch & Wrap: Select wrap pattern, vane style, helical offset, and cock-vane accent color.
